Auto Desk: Hyundai has added a new mid-spec variant to the lineup of the Grand i10 Nios hatchback. This variant has been introduced in the name of Sportz Executive and has been placed between Magna and Sportz variants. The new trim is available in both manual and AMT options. The Grand i10 Nios Sportz Executive costs Rs 7.16 lakh for the manual transmission and Rs 7.70 lakh for the AMT.
Features-
The new variant gets the same 15-inch alloy wheels as the current Sportz trim, an 8-inch touchscreen display with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, keyless entry, and rear AC vents. For the same safety, it has features like 4 airbags, ESC, and hill-hold.
Powertrain-
No changes have been made to the powertrain of the Grand i10 Nios. It is powered by a 1.2-liter petrol engine that generates 83hp power and is mated to either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT gearbox.
Price and Rivals-
Priced at Rs 7.16 lakh, the Sportz Executive trim costs only Rs 4,000 less than the Sportz trim. The Grand i10 Nios competes with the Maruti Suzuki Ignis, Maruti Suzuki Swift, and the Tata Tiago.
