Union Home Minister Amit Shah will be on a two-day visit to Gujarat on March 18-19. Officials gave this information on Wednesday. According to officials, during this period Amit Shah will participate in several programs including the Dairy Industry Conference and the convocation ceremony of two universities. Apart from this, he will lay the foundation stone of Junagadh District Bank Headquarters and will also offer prayers at Somnath Temple. According to officials, the Home Minister will participate in the 49th Dairy Industry Convention organized by the Indian Dairy Federation in Gandhinagar on March 18. Apart from this, he will attend the meeting of the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) and will start the free food campaign at Gandhinagar Civil Hospital.
Apart from inaugurating Nardipur pond, Shah will also lay the foundation stone and inaugurate various development works of Vasan pond and Kalol before attending the convocation ceremony of Maharaja Sayajirao University in Vadodara. On March 19, during his visit to Gujarat, the Union Home Minister will inaugurate the APMC Kisan Bhawan in Junagadh and also lay the foundation stone of the Junagadh District Bank Headquarters. Officials said that apart from offering prayers at the Somnath temple, he would launch the mobile app of the Somnath Trust and also launch various development works through video conferences. In the evening, Amit Shah will attend the convocation ceremony of the Central University of Gujarat.
